Richelle Thoburn
on real property taxation litigation for numerous school boards across the state of Ohio. Ms. Thoburn Ford has appeared before county boards of revision all over the State of Ohio, has handled several cases before county courts of common pleas, and has handled hundreds of cases before the State of Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. Ms. Thoburn Ford has also argued several cases at the Tenth District Court of Appeals and Supreme Court levels. Additionally, Ms. Thoburn Ford has managed hundreds of real property tax exemption cases through the Department of Tax Equalization.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Thoburn Ford served as an Attorney Examiner for the State of Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. She has also worked in the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s legal clinic where her principal focus was the sealing and expungement of juvenile records, and as a substitute teacher in the Columbus City School system.
While at Ohio State, Richelle received the Dressler, Excellence in Criminal Law Award and highest honors in the Juvenile Law Practicum. She also participated in many volunteer activities, including providing legal research to public interest entities and serving as a mentor to first year law students.
